Revelation 7:1—8

Text Box: This painting is showing the four angels holding back the four winds at the four corners of the earth.  In this case I used a photo of hurricane Katrina as the 'four winds'.  You cannot see the fourth angel who is on the back side of the hurricane.  The angels are being told "Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads".  There is an angel in the background who is sealing the 144,000 servants of God.  These 144,000 are jewish people from the twelve tribes of Israel.  They are going to play a key role in evangelism during the Great Tribulation.  Because of them thousands and thousands of people will start to believe in Yeshua, in the next painting (verses 9 - 12) you will see the cause and effect relationship between the sealing of the 144,000 and all the souls who are saved and standing in front of the throne of God because of the witness of the 144,000
