Revelation 4

John is told to ‘Come up here’.  There is a door open in heaven and John is about to enter it and see the vision of the throne of God.  The throne is like a sapphire, with an emerald rainbow around it.  There are twenty four elders and their thrones around the Throne.  It is possible these are 24 of the Raptured saints.  In front of the throne there is a lake of glass ‘clear as crystal’ also described in Ezekiel.  There is a Menorah, that is representing the seven spirits.  The spirit of God, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and fearing God.  (Isaiah 11:2)  There are four seraphim or ‘living creatures’ flying around the throne with six wings.  They are the highest form of angelic being, with the arch angels coming next.  They are described also in Ezekiel and Isaiah.  Their wings are covered with eyeballs.  2 Chronicles 16:9 ‘For the eyes of the Lord are moving here and there throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong to those who are wholehearted towards him.’
